In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
