More Than a Simple Remake: The Thorough Overhaul

This project is a from-scratch re-envisioning of the seminal year 2000 role-playing game, first known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable departure from other Dragon Quest re-releases, such as the previously released HD-2D iterations, this remake adopts a unique three-dimensional art style. The world are designed to look like detailed model sets, with protagonists featuring a appealing toy-like look.

"Taking into account the 3DS port, the main quest was still exceptionally long. Consequently, the team came to a decision that we wanted to tighten the story, [and] craft an adventure for contemporary audiences."

Significant Gameplay Enhancements and Updates
